I wanted to let you know that we love the final version of the album.  As many times as I have looked at the photos online, it was even better to see them printed.  Greg’s parents loved their album and I am looking forward to giving the other to my parents when we see them next month when they are back in Colorado to meet their first grandchild.  And of course, we will be in touch with you for her first portraits as well!  You arent going to get rid of us yet!  Thank you both, so much, for adding beauty and memories to our wedding day! I dont know how to describe it but so many of the photos you two caught were of some of my favorite little moments during the day and you caught them. I dont know how you did it, but you caught them…so thank you for helping us keep, forever, the little moments that made up such a big day in our lives!

Thank you so much…the album did arrive today! You are a wonderful photographer and we loved having you as part of our special day. I can’t imagine our pictures turning out any better. The album is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for everything!

Things we loved about this wedding:

Alicia was the happiest bride I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She greeted her entire day with kindness and a smile.

There was such a sense of family – from Brian’s mom welcoming Alicia with appreciation and love to the camaraderie of their military family – this couple has a wealth of support.

It was so much fun to hear about the evolution of Alicia and Brian’s lives together – the stories were wonderful!

When it started raining during our portraits, Alicia smiled brightly and said “oh, its good luck”

In typical Colorado style, the sun returned and we had time for a few more photos at Aspen Lodge.

The groom’s cake was a shisa dog – a Japanese keeper of good spirits.

Can you guess the song? These guys owned it!

Things we loved about this wedding:

Nikki and Greg’s dog, Mildred. She may have to have her own blog post – we have so many great images of her sweet face throughout the day.

Father Marty’s voice resonated through the valley, collecting all the guest and inviting them into the ceremony.

There were lots of adorable kids, and Nikki and Greg made sure they enjoyed themselves too. Board games, a candy bar, an abundance of cakes and their own meal served before the adults.

When the ring bearer lost his footing and took a tumble right in front of me, I helped him up and dusted him off – he extended his little arms out for a hug. Made my day.

Things we loved about this wedding (and there were SO many):

Never have we seen the bride and groom take so much responsibility for the day on themselves – they even grew the beautiful dahlias and gladiolas that made the the bridal bouquet, table centerpieces and the lovely backdrop for the ceremony.

The wedding was held at Eli’s god-parent’s home. What a generous gift to give a couple.

The abundance of love from family and friends was a joy to witness – there wasn’t a dry eye during the ceremony, not even ours.

Eli picked the flowers for Sarah’s bouquet… and put it together too.

Wedding guests were asked to bring a stone and, during the ceremony, were invited to fill their stone with prayers, thoughts, dreams and wishes for the couple.

Sarah and her sisters were so sweet to each other (with a rare appearance by yours truly)…
